I just found a new favorite spot to eat while visiting Miami. I wanted to try some soul food during this trip. I came across several places, but I'm glad I chose Lil Greenhouse Grill.
We went there for lunch and upon arriving I was concerned there were no other customers there. Our waitress was very friendly and informative. We even met the chef...sorry I don't remember his name.
I ordered the grilled shrimp with black beans & yellow rice. My gf ordered bbq wings with Mac & cheese & collard greens. Everything was wonderful!!
If you are looking for great soul food while in Miami I definitely would recommend Lil Greenhouse Grill!! -

Stopped here before the Marlin's game and boy what a great decision. Inside is a lovely comfortable home style feeling restaurant.
We got the ribs and chicken, boy we were NOT dissapointed. The meat was tender smoky and flavorful. Best ribs I've had in ages. The service and owners were lovely and made us feel at home. Can't wait to come back! -

Came out for a girls night out. We had almost everything on the menu. The Dream Fire Shrimp and Smoked Wings are the delicious! The Grilled Salmon, mac & cheese and greens are fabulous. Great staff with excellent service. The best soul food restaurant in Miami!

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. I had my meal delivered, when the lady arrived I could almost smell the ribs before I opened the door. I took the food to my computer desk (I was working on an assignment), bit into a spare rib and immediately grabbed a proper plate, utensils, and moved to my dining table so I could give the meal the respect that it deserved.
The ribs were tender, perfectly seasoned, and had just the right amount of sauce....enough sauce to get your hands dirty, but not too much where you taste nothing but the sauce. The collard greens were delicious and as southern as you can get. I even had a small piece of meat in mine, which is the TRADITIONAL WAY! I must admit, I'm not a true die hard fan of Mac n Cheese, but after reading fellow yelper @Nehizena's comment I decided to give them a try and Im glad I did. Like she said, somebody put their entire foot (that's a good thing if you don't know) in that Mac n Cheese.
While eating, the image that came to mind was somebody's grandmother in the kitchen with a church hat on listening to gospel hymns. Delicious! -

Check this place out and you will be glad you did! The food is perfectly suited to the soul food menu it claims to be. We started with the wings and finished with the amazing banana pudding (reminded me if my childhood). The three of us ordered the ribs, fish cakes, chicken and waffles,black eyed peas, mashed potatoes, baked beans, and mac snd cheese. Loved it all!
The staff was attentive, helpful, and funny. Additionally, they offer live entertainment. The place is SMALL but don't let that scare you off.
